WAVE^® is a software application suite that manages secure, real-time group communications over the IP network, enabling interoperable communications between any connected devices. Importantly, WAVE is an interoperability solution that works with your current radio system, connects with any radio equipment from any manufacturer at any frequency, and always remains firmly under your control.

WAVE doesn't restrict you to equipment of a certain type, so there's no need to replace your existing radios. WAVE integrates and mixes audio from any source, and supports the specialized requirements of most radio systems, including tone injection, hardware signaling devices, and voltage manipulation.

WAVE scales to support even the largest organizations; there is no limit to the number of radio endpoints that can join a WAVE conference. WAVE Media Servers can support dozens of audio conversations, and multiple WAVE Media Servers can be interconnected, minimizing network bandwidth and providing coverage over widespread distances. Your organization will never outgrow WAVE.

WAVE Components at a Glance

• The WAVE Management Server configures and administers a WAVE system
• The WAVE Media Server is WAVE's media processing engine.
• The WAVE Desktop Communicator lets users access a Channel from a PC. It can run in a web browser.
• The WAVE Dispatch Communicator is used by radio dispatchers to manage multiple simultaneous conversations.
• WAVE Channels represent logical groupings of devices. Channels are stable structures created when the system is initially configured.
• WAVE Sessions tie other WAVE components together to perform a specific function. Sessions live on Media Servers and may be created on the fly.
